Dear friend of Seeds of Hope, As we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter, we remember the sacrifices He made to provide us with eternal life. This everlasting gift is a symbol of new life and opportunities. Easter helps us remember that even in times of despair, we must have faith. While some of us only feel the weight of sacrifice during the Lenten season, the families we serve make sacrifices every day. Our goal at Seeds of Hope is to assist as many families as possible to provide their children a Catholic education. Please download and read the full text of our Easter letter. We prayerfully ask that this Easter, you remember the families who struggle and make daily sacrifices to provide the best possible education for their children.
This Easter, please rejoice with us in our mission and success stories. We humbly ask that you give a gift to Seeds of Hope, and help us provide faith to families and children who know the pressure of sacrifice all too well. |

Jesus Apodaca, a Regis Jesuit High School student, received tuition assistance from Seeds of Hope while attending Annunciation grade school. Jesus is one of many children from various backgrounds, faiths, and hardships who have shared their stories with us at our annual events. Jesus shared his story with us at the 2009 Hope Springs Eternal luncheon. Jesus’ inspiring story taught each of us that faith and perseverance can make any accomplishments possible:
Jesus Apodaca completed his eighth grade year at Annunciation Grade School in Denver in May 2009. His journey to this milestone, however, is much different than many boys his age have experienced. His is a journey of hope. After moving to Colorado from El Paso, Texas, Jesus’ mother enrolled him at Annunciation in the third grade, with financial assistance from Seeds of Hope. There, he excelled academically and became involved in extracurricular activities, such as basketball. Jesus felt welcomed by the community at Annunciation. “My mom couldn’t always come to my basketball games, but my friends’ families pretty much all adopted me. When I would look into the stands, I would see my family,” says Jesus. With encouragement and support from Annunciation principal Sr. Jean Panisko and his mentor, Sr. Lin Sayatovic, Jesus was accepted to attend Regis Jesuit High School, where he will begin in August. Jesus has a bright future because of his dedication and commitment to success. His journey of hope was made possible through the generosity of Seeds of Hope donors. “Without Seeds of Hope paying my tuition to Annunciation I would not be attending a Catholic School. If I hadn’t attended a Catholic school, I would not have overcome my fears,” says Jesus, “Thank you for believing in me and investing in my future.”
